hide emty staves

how come i cannot hide the emty staves?
(if i could copy the voice (including lyrics and all into a new score) that would be fine too)

This happens because you created the parts as staves within a single instrument rather than as separate instruments. Using separate instruments is the key to both getting Hide Empty Staves to work as well as generating parts automatically. So I guess the best thing to do at this point is add instruments for the other parts and then delete the extra staves within this instrument.

thanks for the reply Marc!
It is an imported xml file from a sibelius score, so i guess it went wrong there...
Deleting the extra staves went well.
There is no way i could copy the part (including lyrics and all) into an other score with the new arrangement right?
I use a template so i do not have to change all settings every time.
