Voices and dividing
Hi,
I am trying to write two Violin 1 parts on the same stave with the top part's stems going up and the underneath part's stems going down but I am unable to do this even though I am following the instructions I found on the Musescore info on the internet - obviously I am doing something wrong! I am putting the top part in successfully, going back and clicking on the bar line of the bar I am about to write for, clicking on the green box with the number 2 in but it won't let me write anything beyond that point as the green number 2 part. Does anyone know how to make this work? Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks very much for responding. I seem to have followed the guidance on the page you suggested but I am unable to continue with the underneath violin 1 part (I have managed to write some of it). Are there obvious errors that people tend to make with this area? Thanks again.

Most common error is hitting the voice button before entering Note Input mode rather than after. Also, I guess, not moving your cursor back to the spot where you want to enter the notes.
Have you wat hed the tutorial videos on the main muses ore.org page? They often help.
