How do I delete a staff
I have a score with an unnecessary piano part. I would like to delete it.
I have selected the first measure and then control-click the last to select the entire staff, but when I press control-del musescore crashes.

WOW! That worked like a charm, easy-peasy. So much to learn. Thank you.
A few things about what you tried originally:
First, the way to select a range of measures would be click first, then Shift-click last, not Ctrl+click.
Second, had you done that, and had Ctrl+Delete not crashed, you wouldn't have liked the results anyhow - Ctrl+Delete removes measures completely, not just one staff. You'd have been left with just a title and nothing else, just as if you had actually sued Ctrl+A to select all first.
Third, it's a bug that it crashed :-(. The same steps don't crash for other scores, not totally sure why it does for this one, but it does. I can reproduce this in both 3.4.2 and 3/5 RC. Would you mind submitting a bug report to the issue tracker (use Help / Report a Bug, from within MuseScore - or see the issue tracker in the Support menu above on this page)? Steps are quite simple: load that score, Ctrl+A to select all, Ctrl+Delete. Set the Severity to Critical, leave everything else alone.
