3.5 crashes upon opening

Start by double clicking a score
If that works, disable startcenter in preferences

where is startcenter? also, this is on a mac
how would this help if 3.5 refuses to open as you suggest I do this after it does

understood. however that image is from the pc version. I did a search and no file was found

? Double-click one of your existing scores, say's the last one you have created in previous version, then Edit/Preferences etc.

I wrote a very short piece with 3.4 and was able to open and play around with it in 3.5 without any problems. thus, solved
for now at least...
