How to choose which side of the lower voice an upper voice appears next to
So, I'm working on a piano transcription of An American in Paris, and a few times I need the 1st voice to be on the OTHER side of the 2nd voice... I'm sure whichever way Musescore is default to is the "proper" way but I want to avoid beams being longer than they absolutely need to.
In the example below, I need to make the F in the top voice of the treble staff switch to the other side of the half note in the 2nd voice. How do???
Thanks for your help

(Correction - I should have said "which side of the UPPER voice the LOWER voice appears next to")
To be clear, the down-stemmed 8th notes are in the 2nd voice

Can be done by tweaking the chords' (!) horizontal offsets

Click the note you want to move, look in the Inspector (see View / Inspector menu if you closed it previously), find the "Horizontal offset" in the "Chord" section, and move it whichever way you want.

Horizontal offset is called x offset in the inspector. Negative numbers move notes to the left, positive to the right.
