Steps:
Open a musescore file with multiple instruments and music on everyone of them.
Go to file, then parts
make parts for each instrument
select one of the parts, and play it. All parts play at the same time.

This was true in some earlier versions but currently (3.5.2) if you create parts and play only that part plays unless you open the mixer and remove the check from Play part only. If this is not the case attach a score without parts created so we can test it.

Wow a fast response. After having investigating it, I found it was because all tracks were being soloed making them not soloed seems to have fixed it. Thanks anyway.
