All I am trying to do is open this score that I've attached in the 3.6.0 version of Musescore, but it will not do it. Anytime I try to, it crashes the program. I have opened other scores made on the same version this score was created on in 3.6.0, and they open just fine.

See #315529: MuseScore 3.6 crashes on open of a file with start repeat in continuous view. Meanwhile here is your score saved in page view to work around the problem.

ok, so the solution i had to use wasn't changing it to page view. The crash still occured with that. I had to upload the file onto musescore and download the score as a MusicXML file for it to work. Thanks for the help!
The above mentioned issues lists some better workarounds than your's
