Musescore crashes when adding drumset and moving it
I open an existing score with one staff. I add a drumset to the list of instruments and click the button to move it down in the list. Musescore crashes.

Why move it done, it gets appedend on add already?
A, no, it doesn't, not in 3.6. But it doesn't crash either, not for me.
You probably don't want the score in Orchestral order I guess.

Lately I create my own soundfonts for native instruments and I want them in different orders for different scores, but now I don't have this flexibility, as Musescore continues crashing when I try changing the order.

Can't you switch to Custom order before moving drums down, of even before adding it??
In reply to Can't you switch to Custom… by Jojo-Schmitz
With Custom selected it doesn't crash. Great.
To reproduce it I have to do a similar activity twice, isn't it?
When you open the score and add the drumset you will see the score order is
Orchestral
after moving the drumset down, the score order is no longerOrchestral
but becomes a customized orchestral score order (Orchestral (Customized)
).So far so good. However, if you do this again in the same MuseScore session, a second customized orchestral score order is created and now the application get confused, takes the wrong one and crashes.
This is already report in #315599 - MuseScore 3.6 crashes when rearranging instrument positions and changing Ordering and is solved in 3.6.1.

It seems that this bug acts differently on different computers. It seems that Jojo-Schmitz can't reproduce it. On my PC it actually 100% shows up just when I create a new score, add one instrument, then the second, then immediately clicking the button Move Up it crashes.

Is this adding a second instrument whine in the New Score Wizard or first create a new score and add a second instrument using the Instruments form?
However, in both cases I can't reproduce it.
On what OS are you running?

On my PC (Windows 10 Home) in both cases I get crashes. This is the second bug when I get consistent crashes and Musescore team cannot reproduce them. They probably have computers that are too good for this kind of job and they think I fool around with them.

Unfortunately I don't have any MS-Window PC nor I have access to such things (running Linux) so it will be very difficult to reproduce. However I know of at least one crash regarding score ordering and this is solved in 3.6.1 and as it happens, this release is now available. Can you download 3.6.1 and check whether the issues are gone?

The 3.6.1 version is fine - no problem.

Despite not being able to reproduce your problem, it seems it was related to issue which was already solved!.
Enjoy using MuseScore (as I will :-))

Thanks for your effort. I have been enjoying using Musescore for 8 years now. I hope the Musescore team will continue their excellent work.
I am having the same issue when I try to move voice above piano. It keeps crashing every time I try. I just uploaded the most recent update today. Before the update, I never had this issue.

Most recent meaning 3.6.1? Id you attach your score and give precise steps to reproduce the problem, we can investigate.
