Musescore crashes after launch
I have version 3.6.0.something and when I launch the program from the EXE, it crashes and disappears after a few seconds. When I click on an mscx file, however, it launches. but I can't save.
Can I download and install a new version and have it know I've paid for it?

The program won't stay up long enough for me to click on 'Upgrade'. Can I download it from the web site, and will it validate my license?

There is no licence to validate, MuseScore is free. And yes, you can download and install the lates version directly from the website

I forgot to add that when I do open and try the update button in Help, I get:
UPDATE ERROR!
An error occurred in retrieving update information; are you connected to the internet? Please try again later?

I just tried to download the MSI, and it says "Failed. Network Error."

You mean, you tried to download that file using your web browser? If your web browser displayed that error, I'd be inclined to believe it - you must be experiencing some sort of internet issue. Maybe try again later.
