Collisions with ties (MuseScore 3.6.2)
Hi,
I'm using MuseScore 3.6.2 on LInux and I find what I consider a severe bug, but I'd like some feedback from the forum before reporting an issue on the bug tracker.
It seems that either there are no heuristics at all in the placement of ties, or they are failing completely, causing multiple collisions with other elements of the score. Most notably with augmentation dots and note heads (in chords with seconds), but it can also happen with accidentals and other elements like measure numbers, etc.
Please see attached an example score and the rendered image.

Thanks, I see the thread is more than six years old, and the problem has been around for ever. So I guess we can't expect it to be solved any time soon.

Tie positioning works well for a lot of cases but not this specific one indeed. It's on the list of things we'd like to address soon after the release of MuseScore 4, though.

That's great, thanks for letting us know. And all the best for the release of MuseScore 4.
