Suggestion - Add speed variation for loop playback (aka. speed training)
Hello to all the community. First, I don't know if this is the right place to propose new ideas and features, and I also want to thank you for the splendid work you are doing on the new Musescore 4.
Here is a feature that would be especially useful to many users, for inclusion in future updates of the program.
This is a function that I used a lot when I was using Guitar Pro, it is "speed training". I, personally, and many other people, use Musescore as a study aid rather than as a music composition software [1], [2], [3]. So, in this regard, I tend to play the songs as I hear them in the program, so a speed training function is very useful. The operation is quite simple. Basically:
1- You choose a section of the score of interest.
2- Select loop playback.
3- Set the parameters, Initial speed, Step, Number of repetitions and Final speed, all expressed as a percentage of the normal speed of the score.
Attached is a screenshot showing the GUI of this feature in Guitar Pro.
I would be very grateful if you could evaluate the possibility of including this feature.

There is a similar feature in Tuxguitar. I find it incredibly useful and effective.
This sounds like it would be more useful with a hotkey to speed up or slow down tempo while it's looping.
And then it could also be a pedal or maybe the two lowest notes on a piano.
Oscarcar No - it works fins without pedals, They can be an optional extra but the simple act of repeat and speedup is enough!.

Sure, but what happens when the musician hits a certain tempo and flubs it? Wouldn't you want to slow down until it's not flubbed? And then wouldn't you want to do it hands-free?

Well, I think this is a pretty good idea to be able to control the playback speed through some key, but the main idea is that it should be automatic, and that after each pass in the loop the speed should be increased.
Have a look at tuxguitar or guitarpro. You set a start speed, and increment and and end speed. The music plays at the start speed on each repeat it goes up by the percentage you set until it reaches the end speed where it continues to repeat at that speed. No need to put the instrument down and approach the computer. Though it does remind me of the phone app for Ardour which allows you to start recording from the phone - really handy for most instruments.
