Download an Old Hungarian font from the github page, for example
https://github.com/kende-font/kende-font

Choose on the Linux the Old Hungarian layout. It is between the extra layouts.

Or: install the Old Hungarian layout from the keyman project's page
( https://keyman.com )

Type a text into a text area.
It must be appear right to left

I don't know enough about these fonts to say, but I would assume then it is a general issue with how handle all right-to-left fonts, not just this one? Either that, or there is something unique about this font. Have you verified whether other right-to-left fonts work as expected?

BTW, we reserve "critical" for crashes and score corruption. Also, "regression" means it worked in another recent version - I'm guessing that isn't the case, but if so, let us know which!

We do honor other R2L languages, like Arab and Hebrew, so maybe it is just that font that is broken? Or it is just the input method, not recognizing that this is an R2L language

I would like, if MuseScore project to add Old Hungarian writing system as 3rd R2L language.
LibreOffice, Gedit, bash, full Gnome shell, Web browsers ( MS Edge doesn't work with it at all ) and several other programs, iPhone devices already use Old Hungarian script as R2L. Android kernel already prepared for using Old Hungarian writing system as R2L, they don't finished their font.
The Old Hungarian standard is a part of Unicode standard since 8.0 version, published in the year of 2014.
The coderanges are:
u10c80 - u10cb2: capital letter-symbols,
u10cc0 - u10cf2: small letter-symbols,
u10cfa - u10cff number-symbols

MuseScore does set R2L (and L2R) depending on the locale (with the help of Qt, depending on QLocale::textDirection()). As far as I can tell there is no locale for "Old Hungarian"

And no worries, your English is good enough and far better than my Hungarian ;-)

IMHO unlikely to happen any time soon. I don't see any corresponding section of the Unicode section list, which does list for example Old Italic, Old North Arabian, Old Permic, Old Persian, Old South Arabian and Old Turkic, but no Hungarian at all.

So as near as I can tell all the basics for supporting this are missíng, an all fronts, Qt, Transifex, and even Unicode, at least in the version/form MuseScore uses

Actually I begin to see where this may fail... watch this space...
Not related to locales at all, just to a missing range in the list of section in the MuseScore F2 text palette

That at least seems to be part of the problem.
