Adding a pause
Hello,
I tried and tried but I cannot add a pause ad obtain a score like the one on the image (red circled).
Is it possible to add a pause before the rest ?

By "pause" I assume you mean "rest".
See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/voices for how to have more than one rythmically independent lines (the technical term is "voices",) on a stave.

Oh excuse me , here in Italy in music theory we call them pauses. That's the way they teach me on school :) it's difficult to change habits .. Thank you for your answer

In sweden we can take a coffeebreak, "fika" but that has nothing to do with music neither 😀 lol

I wanted to be sure because we have pause = caesura.

Caesurea is not a Rest nor a Pause, but, literally, a cut. But indeed it results in a Break, yet another synonym...
