Lyrics are overlapping when I view it on windows, but it's fine on the mac

• Dec 13, 2021 - 05:14

I made a score on my mac. When I tried to use it on Windows the lyrics are overlapping, as if the notes were too close together for that syllable.
They both use the same page settings (landscape, etc). They both use the same font (freeSerif).
I generated a pdf in windows and it looks ok, so it seems like it's just the windows rendering.
I've attached a picture.
What should I do?
I feel sad for people who are using my scores on a pc.

Not overlapping on my PC, Windows 10
Quite a few typos on title and lyrics though, and missing lyrics dashes and melisma underscores.
And score is in Single Page View (and portrait?), printout would be in Page View (and landscape).

That score was not made on a Mac, but on Linux BTW, as per File > Score properties, And it was made with a MuseScore version prior to 3.6. So it does have some history to it.

Is the attached any better for you?

@Bill Maney
Your original score had Format > Style... > Lyrics > Lyrics Text > Min distance set to zero.

These are my preferred settings to avoid collisions in the lyrics:
