MIDI in & out in Android app
Hey everyone,
is it possible to connect a piano via MIDI in / out to the Android app? I've seen some posts implying that something like this should be possible but I have no idea where to set it up?
What I'd like to achive:
- Playing piano while the Android app is recording my notes
- Play back a sheet by the piano rather than the Android app

The mobile app is a player only, so it can't record.

Ok, thank you very much :) Neither the Android nor the iOS-version? And can this be achieved by the Windows / Mac version?

Yes, sort of. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/note-input#midi-keyboard

Thank you! :) And playback is possible, too?

Emphasis on the "sort of", though. While you can indeed use a MIDI keyboard to enter notes, and there is some real-time support, it's nothing like a sequencer where you simply play whatever you want and it records it as is. It's still only going to do one staff at a time, and will only handle simple rhythms played very carefully. I think what you really want is a sequencer. You mention Android, and I'm not really sure what all the options are for that platform, but you might try BandLab.
How does this work, to output to a MIDI keyboard ?
I have MuseScore 2.10.14 installed on a Samsung Android tablet.
There is no possibility to select MIDI out in the app for playback of a loaded score.
It does work for the Windows MuseScore application on my laptop.
From other Android apps on the tablet however, I can output to an instrument connected via CME WiDi Master Bluetooth.
Any hints appreciated. Thanks

For help with the mobile aps, best to go to the appropriate group over on musescore.com - there isn't much expertise on those here.
