There is loud static as the sound for any playback/note input.
To reproduce, just add a note to the score. Or hit play.
I have checked every single support forum post on the topic and followed recommended directions there as well as Windows (10) support. It's of note that I do not have trouble with any other audio on my computer. Only MuseScore.
I've uninstalled/reinstalled MuseScore, all audio drivers, done multiple computer restarts, and reverted MuseScore to factory settings. No effect.
Tried every single option in I/O. Same issue with every single one.
I've also adjusted the synth settings to ensure there's no reverb. No effect.

Running MuseScore 3.6.2 and Windows 10 on a Dell Precision (which hasn't had any other audio issues in the year I've had it).

Have also troubleshooted audio issues in Windows troubleshooter.

The static persists.

Trying to help you: If you play a MIDI file (via Windows Media Player), does this play nicely?
And if you open a MIDI file with MuseScore, does it play nicely?
(I have attached a test MIDI, just in case you dont have one at hand).

Aha :-) - "something with MIDI". If you reduce the volume in Windows Media Player to "almost nothing" (but so you can still hear the music - best test with a headphone!) - is it then without static?

To be honest - now I'm out of ideas what could be the reason - for me, such effects were always some sort of "too loud" (on some part of the system). But with volume set to almost nothing - that's weird ... Maybe someone else has an idea ...
