Update: Appimage going unresponsive frequently on Debian 11 - use flatpak?
Update: This does not seem to happen with the flatpak:

So likely some strange interaction with my base OS installation?
I'm using an appimage which identifies itself as OS: Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.6.2.548021370, revision: 3224f34
Randomly but frequently the OS pops up a message saying the appimage has gone unresponsive, and offers the option of forcing a quit or waiting. Click on wait and MuseScore continues working fine. The CPU and memory are not overloaded.
Anyone else seeing this?

I am also getting this. OS: Debian GNU/Linux bookworm/sid, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.6.2.548021370, revision: 3224f34.
This is 7 months after the above message, I just downloaded the app image from the musescore site and it is exactly the same version and revision... strange. No development in 7 months? Or just no update of the appimage file?

Actually there has been tons of development over the past couple of years - it's just that none of it is going into MuseScore 3. All resources are being poured into MuseScore 4, a huge update due out very shortly (like, probably within the next week or two). See the Announcements forum for details.

OK, thanks for the update. But MS3 is still the appimage download in the page, at least for linux.

Just tested the latest nightly build (MS4) and all looks good! No more of those messages.

Indeed, because MuseScore 4 isn't released yet :-)
