This only affects Muse Score 4. Does not happen in MuseScore 3 (I've just checked).
This is especially debilitating when typing lyrics, because I cannot type in "ą".

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new score
2. Add a note
3. Ctrl + L
4. With Polish keyboard layout (so that you can type in Alt + a = "ą"), hit right Alt + a.
5. Add menu drops down instead of letter ą being typed in.

Status active needs info

Are you using the Polish translation?
With that this should not happen, there Alt+D should bring up that menu, called Dodaj in Polish

Status needs info by design

Yes, it is by design. Not sure though why it was different in Mu3, was it really? That also had an Add menu and also with an accelerator/mnemonic key as far as I remember

Regression No Yes

Workaround No Yes

Hmm, those keys should not be active in text edit mode, i guess

Yes, that seems better. I think this is MS3 behavior. I've just checked in MS3:
1. Set English as the language
2. Add a note
3. Ctrl + L (lyrics mode)
4. Type Alt + T
5. Tools menu is NOT brought up.

Whereas in MS4 (I also double-checked), these steps will bring up Tools menu.

Entering text in text edit mode should not interfere with accelerator keys or shortcuts. Not a language specific issue. Polish is just a victim of this issue
