Click on the first bar to delete
Shift+CTRL+end to select up to the end
CTRL+Del and they are all gone

Or use Tools>Remove empty trailing measures, which is a dedicated command for the exact thing the OP asked about.

Thank you for the useful tips, I've opened that menu countless times but somehow failed to notice it.
