One Measure Per System
Hi there,
I'm trying to make an arrangement of "Impromptu in Gb Major" by Franz Schubert, and I'm having trouble getting more than one measure on each system. I've tried the spacers, I've tried scaling down the size of the measure, and I even tried the { button, but none of these methods have worked. Is there anything that can be done?

Use the Group Measures tool on the Layout palette. (It's apparently called something like "Keep on same system" in some versions of MuS4?) It's the highlit button in the screenshot below.
FYI: for future reference, it's always best to attach a score rather than a screenshot. Very hard to actually figure out what most problems are from a screenshot.

That won't help if 2 measures just don't fit the page width

Actually, it "works" if the "group"ed measures don't fit. It's just unreadable. I once fit 10 measures of 32nds on a row. Looked like one of those "black score" things. :-)
On OP's example, two measures of sextuplets are readable on a single system, using the Letter paper width. Septuplets or octuplets would not be, I think.

Hi there,
I probably should've prefaced this, but I actually used Musescore 3. I'm having trouble with using Musescore 4, so I'm just sticking with what I know.
The Layout Palette on Musescore 4 seems to be an extension of the Breaks and Spacers palette on Musescore 3. Unfortunately, the Group Measures symbol is not available on 3.

That indeed is a Mu4 feature
Use a wider paper, a smaller scaling or reduce stretch

I'll try using a wider paper, but the scaling doesn't work, and the measure is at the minimum stretch.

Stretch is limited by the minimum distances set for notes, dots, barlines, etc. On the menu, see ...
Format / Style / Measures
Format / Style / Notes
... and possibly other places. I haven't really found where to adjust this either.
Oh, and I haven't figured scaling out either :-)

Just widened the paper. I now have unconventional Ledger landscape paper, but four measures can now fit into one system. It also looks pretty cool, admittedly.
