Cannot Open File
I am using Ubuntu 10.4 and Musescore 0.9.6.2 Revision: 3400.
I have used Musescore in windows but I just installed Ubuntu. The "Open File" panel does not function correctly. It will not display files, move to different paths, etc. About all it will do is close. So I cannot do anything at this time with the application.

Have you tried the latest stable version, i.e. 1.0?
Each page of the site has a big green "Free download" button at the top right to get it.

Thank you, I will try 1.0
My problem was I didn't have qt libraries that were needed. I now have it working.
never mind. I needed to load qt4

MuseScore 1.0 was just released last week so it is not available for old Ubuntu versions (such as 10.4). The download page of this website has a link for Ubuntu stable backports which brings MuseScore 1.0 to Ubuntu 10.10.
