Another crush after changes with measure stretch
Hi, guys.
Have this situation once earlier.
I have another crush after changes with measure stretch. From 1.0 to 1.2 etc.
I copied measures from 18 to 36, and put it after 44 measure then it crushed. Copied measures was stretched.
And I noticed another thing. Stretched measures at first sheet open after saving are not 100% conformity. Let us say, one tacts ore two have discrepant strecth. After correction and second saving it's good. It was when i begin to strecth the first tacts - long before crush.
Now i can't do any actions with my sheet - it got crush in any case.
In past Lasconic has cut the crushed part, may be anyone from developers can help me in this way.

There was a corruption at bar 50 which caused this mess.
I found it by resetting stretch for the entire piece, when it revealed itself by leaving space at the end of a line.
I re-entered those notes into an inserted bar, and then deleted the bars one by one starting at the end of the music. Unfortunately deleting the corrupt bar also removed all the empty bars at the end, so I have appended 32, but you will have to add the rest.
I then recopied and pasted section.
All seems to be well, but you will have to redo your stretch - best to leave that to the ned anyway.

PS Hehe JoJo beat me to it again :)

Without seeing the score we can't even try to help...

But it will be good if this bug will be fixed. Sheet with the same bug and description are in first post. Hope it's enough.

Not without clear steps how to repoduce the situation, i.e. how you managed to get the score corrupted.
Also it might already have been fixed in the upcoming 2.0

If it will happen again i try to offer the steps.

And then double check whether the same sequence leads to the same issue on a nightly build, as ther won't be any fixes for version 1.2

1. I cut two measures from 4/4 sheet and put them to 5/4 sheet, because i understood that 4/4 is not what i need for my score, so the measures was perfectly set to 5/4 as they are, no problem.
2. But then i cloned them in 5/4 sheet yet and got the same crush with empty measures, so one more actions and as usual all sheet will be crushed.
In next topic i try to describe full steps with demo sheets, can't show originaly.
In reply to insert from 4/4 to 5/4 was caused for one of those by Kolridg
Create two files with 4/4 and 5/4. Write sheet in your 4/4 file as in 4/4 in attach. Copy it to 5/4. And do the steps such in screen(the bug is marked).
5/4 in attach have all steps completly and crushed.

So much than anybody will afraid to look, even measures
hang about others. Can't call this bug in the same original.

Can you try the same thing in a nightly build?
In reply to Can you try the same thing in by Jojo-Schmitz
I can only guess that it is some version which calls nightly build.

See http://musescore.org/en/download and scroll down a page

Be aware though that there is a problem on Windows machines caused by a recent Windows update:-
#19309: Microsoft Security Patch causes Musescore font error
This can be solved by what the dev team consider a nasty hack - installing the TTF fonts directly in Windows as you will see later in that thread.

Or by uninstalling that Microsoft Patch.

In nightly no problems

Good, so we can regard this issue fixed.

See #13153: [1.1] cut/paste of empty bar in 5/4 produces corruption. There are definitely known issues in 1.X with copy / paste of empty bars in 5/4 (or certaon other "irregular" meters). They seem to be fixed on 2.0
In reply to insert from 4/4 to 5/4 was caused for one of those by Kolridg
One thing I have found, as you have done, in 1.2 is that copying or pasting irregular measures (ie not the original time signature) can result in the corruption you are experiencing.
I was working on a piece of unmetrical music the other day with constantly changing actual time signatures, and Musescore flatly refused to insert a bar without corrupting the next 2. Thankfully the corruption revealed itself immediately, so I was able to use undo. In the end I added bars at the end and cut+pasted the section then removed the bars I didn't want.
The soon to be released 2.0 seems to be a little more stable in this respect.
Do you know about ScreenR ?
It can be very useful when trying to show what you are doing.
