Folders are being doubled in English and Japanese
In Japanese system, and I believe this is only in Mac,
MuseScore folders are being doubled in English and Japanese. (but not the extensions folder)
Is this happening also in other language too ?
I think this is quite confusing and don’t need either of these folders.

Might happen due to incomplete translations, that later got updated?
I have them too (English and German), but (mostly) created them myself and as links to one another (
mklink /J
on Windows,ln -s
on Mac and Linux)In reply to Might happen due to… by Jojo-Schmitz
this situation has been kept for a long time, at least from ver 2.0 and not updated.
as you mentioned, is this maybe some translations problem?

Possible, as said. 1.x didn't have that issue I believe, as back then those directory names were not translated nor translatable
Might be a good idea to get this change/fixed for 3.0, I'd prefer the link method, so regardless of whether to switch language you still get the files from the same place

These "doubled" folders are not being linked by default setting right?
By default, Japanese folders are being used.
And how did you link these folders ?

you mean this, " (mklink /J on Windows, ln -s on Mac and Linux)"
its tough for me to understand..
but thank you anyway.
I'd prefer to see only either of these folders for ver.3 :)

Thank you!
looks slightly more difficult than learning music theory.. :)
I have them in Dutch/English.
Those also are the two languages I occasionally switch between in MuseScore.

Good to know it's happening in other language too.
Thank you!
For me, need only either of these folders.
