Just upgraded and now I can't playback
Using windows 10. Synthesizer has MuseScore_General. sf3. I can press the Playback button and notes scroll, but no sound. Have tried several fixes found here to no avail....extremely frustrated, should have not hit the update button cause it worked perfectly before....any help appreciated

Do you hear sound if you create a brand new score (use the Treble Clef template)? If so, then the issue is with the score you were trying to listen to, so check View / mixer and make sure nothing is muted or soloed. If that doesn't help, please attach the score.
If you don't hear anything even when entering notes into a brand new score, check the volume in View / Synthesizer, also try right-clicking your speaker icon in Windows to bring up the system mixer, and make sure Windows hasn't muted MuseScore for some reason.

Thanks Marc....No sound with a new score. Nothing is muted or soloed....
Volume in View/synthesizer is 40, not muted. Also not muted on Windows icon

I've also already tried to unclick the "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" in the Advanced tab of both Playback and Recording....
still nothing

Yes, that's not muted either.
I would also start in such a case MuseScore from command line to check if there's any output concerning this issue.
