endings . .
I've had this issue for a while, kept hoping it'd be addressed in an update... when an ending (1st ending, 2nd ending, etc . . . ) extends onto the next stave, how can the line be extended to cover all of the affected measures, as in a 1st ending that is 2 staves long?. As I see it, the ending line only goes as far as the line it is on and then off the page. What am I missing? using 2.3.2 thanks

You are probably adding the line to only one measure then dragging the line longer. The proper way to extend a line is to select all of the measures it covers and double click the line. To change on that's already entered, select the line and press ctrl+r to return it to its original position. Next, double click the line, click the end point than needs to be move, then use SHIFT+arrows to extend it over more measures.

Thanks Mike, I didn't really understand your explanation (I tried it but it didn't work) but the 'shift/arrow' method described in the manual did it... I never even heard the term 'volta' as applied to this type of thing before!

I think that the "double click" idea means before you add the volta.
Select all the bars you want the volta to apply to, THEN double click the volta in the pallets.
I use the shift/arrow method myself and have not tried the double click method.

Yes. To be clear: the most efficient way to add a volta over several measures is to first select those measures, then double-click the appropriate icon in the palette. In other words, you don't add then change its length, you add it with the proper length right off the bat. But if you've already added the line by another means (eg, drag & drop), then indeed double-clicking it followed by Shift+right will do the job as well.

Oh OK, I got it now! , I'll try that next time. Really appreciate the follow up!
