I believe updates to Musescore percussion sounds (specifically marching percussion) are in progress now, but I don't know when those will be completed. They will include suspended cymbal sounds.
That cymbal roll is pretty useful... however it decays rather than crescendos, and the lack of single-note dynamics control for drum sounds makes it impossible to get a proper cymbal roll swell using that.
Thankfully, sustain pedal DOES work for drums (knock on wood), so to avoid that robotic-sounding previous-note cut-off sound, what I do for cymbal roll crescendos (and any other rapid-consecutive note sequence for percussion) is throw down some tremolos and stick that sustain pedal (in the Lines palette) under it. It's not perfect, but it's close-ish.

Find a non-standard soundfont that includes a cymbal roll as a sound in itself and install that as explained in the Handbook under "Soundfonts".

What Soundfont would you suggest for percussion tracks?

I would say stay away from Sonita Symphony Orchestra for percussive SoundFonts.

When will the tam-tam sound be released? If planned to release.
