Did we lose secondary first measure clefs with 3?
It seems that in MuseScore 3, you can't add a separate clef to the first note/rest without it changing the clef at the beginning of the staff (but it works fine for any note after that). I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it was intentionally removed after being a feature in 2, but it's a nice thing to have and I would love to be able to use it again.

+1 This is used a lot in piano music if the RH starts in the bass clef or the LH starts in the treble clef.

+1 Agreed
It's a bug that's been reported and needs to be fixed. It was reported, I can't find it now though.

To make sure you know the possibilities, you can search for issues via the search field in the top filter at https://musescore.org/en/project/issues/musescore or via the site search https://musescore.org/en/search/site?keys=Test&f%5B0%5D=type%3Aproject_… and filter on type 'issue'.

Can't find in the issue tracker so reported it there now: #282625: clef change to first note of a measure shows the clef before that measure rather than before that note
