Editing a note throughout the score
Hi - I have a full score in C major going and would like to hear how it would sound with a Bb note throughout (mixolydian mode.) Can I edit that one note throughout the whole score or must I do each manually?

Right click a B(b), Select ... more..., same pitch, then apply the accidental (or tune done 100cent, a semitone, in inspector

I got that far. How do I apply an accidental or add 100 cents?

Wait. I might get it.

Do I have to hit OK first, to use inspector? And I don't see how to add the flat in inspector.

I see I can tune by cents. But I just want to add a flat.

I added 100 cents in the inspector, but that does not apply a flat to the b in the score.

You would have to subtract 100 cents, but its easier to just click the flat sign in the toolbar.

OK. I'll try that.

OK. That worked, but only for one stave. I've got many more staves. Can I use the transposing feature to change modes?

You can't transpose a single note. And there is no key signature avaibalne that only has Bb, so use
same notename, all staves...

Have you heard of F major?

OMG - This sounds terrible in mixolydian! Maybe I don't want to know this? :)

You wanted mixolydian ;-)

Looks like I'll have to change the progression until it makes sense.

Only problem is that keys and modes don't work that way, in a traditional sense. The key is C and it can be altered modally via the introduction of a Bb or an F#. But it could be heard properly in F major and this is for an audacity project so I spose the Key sig will work.

If you add a key signature to an existing score, no notes will change. Accidentals will appear indicating the difference between the existing notes and the key signature. If you use the previous method of selecting all B's in the score* and changing them to B-flat and the add the key signature, the flat accidentals will disappear.

Still, it does not read properly in a printed score, with an F major sig.

That doesn't make sense. Perhaps you can attach a sample score and explain what's wrong.
I'll get back to this tomorrow morning. I was told to select same pitch. I'll try same note tomorrow.
Thanx
