Editing a note throughout the score

• Jan 25, 2019 - 14:08

Hi - I have a full score in C major going and would like to hear how it would sound with a Bb note throughout (mixolydian mode.) Can I edit that one note throughout the whole score or must I do each manually?

Only problem is that keys and modes don't work that way, in a traditional sense. The key is C and it can be altered modally via the introduction of a Bb or an F#. But it could be heard properly in F major and this is for an audacity project so I spose the Key sig will work.

If you add a key signature to an existing score, no notes will change. Accidentals will appear indicating the difference between the existing notes and the key signature. If you use the previous method of selecting all B's in the score* and changing them to B-flat and the add the key signature, the flat accidentals will disappear.

  • To select all of the B's in the score, you need to right click and use Select>more... and make sure you have not limited which B's are being selected with any of the check boxes or radio buttons. You may also want to make sure you check all of the same note (B) rather than all of the same pitch (B3 or B4 for example).
