Go into a section of strings and set them to pizzicato. Arco does not return them to arco.

The problem is that when you add pizz. from the text palette, the channel is set to pizzicato, but when you add arco, no channel is selected in the staff text properties. All of the others are correct.

It is, I checked. If if isn't for you we need a sample score.
Only works on a score created in 3.0.2 from scratch, existing scores from erarlier versions may indeed not have the 'arco' channel, but a 'normal' one only.

This make no sense. I'm using OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.1.0.5524, revision: 27dc900 which has the fix in it. If I use the existing score String quartet workspace.mscz arco does not set the staff text properties to voice 1 = normal. In the same session, I create a new score, using the same template and it sets it correctly for normal. The mixer has all of the same instrument definitions in it.

This does make sense, scores created before the addition of those texts also worked with a templates and instrument defintions without that arco channel.
