Fixes

  • #284426: [Regression] Instruments played as piano with odd side effects
  • #284874: [Regression] "Save online" login screen didn't work on Mac with MuseScore 3.0.3
  • #284913: [Regression] Brass Quartet and Brass Quintet templates couldn't
    be opened
  • #283152: Removing a section break led to crash in some cases
  • #280685: Copying measure repeats didn't work

Known issues

Some macOS users who used MuseScore 3.0.3 experience a crash on start up. The reason is a bug in WebEngine of the Start Center. There is a workaround which allows running MuseScore without problems. Do the following:
1. Open any mscz/mscx file using double-click on a file (when you open a file, MuseScore doesn't show the Start Center)
2. MuseScore should open without issues
3. Go to Preferences...
4. Turn the checkbox "Show Start Center on startup" off

Comments

PLEASE HELP, I INSTALLED THE UPDATE THIS MORNING 2/28/19 AND IT CRASHED IMMEDIATELY. WILL NOT STAY OPEN PAST THE SECOND SCREEN. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF WORK FOR A CLASS TODAY.
RUNNING MAC HIGH SIERRA 10.13.6

This did not fix the problem. The program says that the previous session was shutdown unexpectedly and offers to restore (yes or no) Either way the program does not launch. This is very frustrating. I use this app daily.

Disregard the previous comment, I was able to get into the preferences tab to make the changes which resolved the issue.

Thanks for the new release. But I want to put the following question.
I currently use with MS2 some usefull plugin as:
- chord identifier;
- haltime;
- doubletime, etc.
They don't work anymore with MS3. Do you think we'll find these plugin updeted soon?
Thanks in advance for your reoly.

Antonello

I applied the new update Musescore 3.0.4 following the remedies in the Known Issues. Every time I quit the program I get an error message that it closed unexpectedly. This is new since I updated. It has never done this before. Thanks

I tried double-clicking on an existing score, but I am still getting this message: "The previous session quit unexpectedly. Restore session?" . No matter what I do, click "yes" or "no" or close the dialogue box, it still crashes. What now?

On Mac OS High Sierra in the activity monitor, you can force quit the Musescore process and not produce the "unexpected quit" message. ????????

Hi,
It seems as though this update has oddly changed all of my pieces to have only piano.
E.g, Orchestrated arrangements changing all instruments to piano.
As you can probably tell this isn't very good for writing and a fix would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I have this message promo out when start to open mscz file with muse score 3.0.5 version.
"The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. "

I'm window system user, according to above troubleshooting steps, I have not idea where to find the "Preferences".

Anyone can help? Thanks
