Open the attached score. Notice that some tuplet numbers are further from the note beams than others. Shouldn't all numbers be at the same distance?

Hello! I am not getting about which distance you are talking about. I have changed vertical distance from stem but didn't see any visible changes. Can you attach the file and tell more clearly so that I can solve this issue.

Seems this depends on the angle of the beam, the algorithm for calculating the distance is not very exact. You can see what is going more clearly if you enable a bracket. According to the code we should be following the beam angle but we don't always.

Title Tuplet numbers: irregular vertical placement Tuplet numbers: default distance is too far from beams

The default setting for tuplet "Vertical distance from stem" is 0.25 sp. But this routinely needs to be readjusted to zero or less in order to get a better placement nearer the note beams.
