Varying Dot Position
What determines the position of the dot after a note stem? These highlighted notes have a different distance between the stem and the dot but I can't work out why, or how to fix it.

Your picture seems to include voices.

Upstems are voice 1; downstems are voice 4; no stems are voice 3.

Then only dotted notes have dots. You can have a dotted half note invoice 1 and a plain half note in voice 4. That seems to be the case in at least one of the measures you show in your picture.

But why is the dot further away from the stem in bar 33 than the dot-stem in bar 29?
I haven't deliberately done anything to alter these distances: they are just different for some reason.

Please attach the actual score (or at least a score containing that specific measure) so others can investigate.

Seems to be due to the note in the other voice - delete it and the exatra space goes away. not that this makes sense; it definitely seems a bug to me. But that does seem to have something to do with it. I would encurage to file an official bug report via the issue tracker.

I agree that it's not a big deal. But it's through reports like yours that MuseScore gets better and better...
