Right click on a measure does NOT bring up the Measure Properties menu. I'm using 3rd version of Musescore on a MacBook Air. Does not work with mouse pad nor with Apple mouse.
I'm using Musescore on a MacBook Air. When I select a measure and right click on it, the Measure Properties menu does not come up. I am mystified. This seems to be a glaring deficiency in this program. It's really frustrating. Is there a way to make this work?

You are doing something wrong. It's there whenever you right click in a measure. Do you by chance have your language settings it British English and have a Bar Properties option?

I did a google search (because computers don't come with much in the way of a user guide!) and found directions on setting up right-click on a Mac. I assumed that was already enabled. So I did set it up and now am able to get the elusive Measure Properties pop-up. As far as I know, the language settings are for USA English, though a lot of those helpful muse score videos are narrated by a woman from Australia or New Zealand! Thanks for your reply. I was definitely doing something wrong.

If the right click were set up properly, you would not have been the first American looking for Measure properties and not realize Bar properties is the British term. International programs such as MuseScore that make a distinction between British and American are rare, but this is a nice feature for those across the pond.

Katie Wardrobe? Those are meanwhile very outdated tutorials for MuseScore 1... but indeed an Aussie accent ;-)
The tutorials for MuseScore 2 are done by George Hess, IIRC he's from the US.

And for the record, I plan on creating some for MuseScore 3. First priority, though, was getting 3.1 into shape :-)
