In Chopin’s Etude Op. 10 No. 11, I found a branch-style chord layout when there exists a minor second relationship within the chord, which is on the same line but with accidentals. I think this could be a good way to make a better layout for these cases.

What a horror (I've seen it)! I would not call it a minor second, as the notes have the same "pitch names", but an "augmented unison", FWIW.

I have no issue with the notation, the problem, or Chopin's wonderful étude. I'm just picking nits over how to describe the interval in English words.

Although if Chopin didn't actually "code" it that way, it looks like something out of a book of music-theory parody. But life is often stranger than fiction. I bet Godowsky laughed.
I hope that @Jojo-Schmitz can have a look on this suggestion.
