Can cross-measure tie be applied and played?
Like this, the tie from the third measure to the seconda volta.
Although in this exact case I don't see any difference between these voltas.

Thanks, there's even how-tos... how can one ever know about how-tos without someone putting forward a direct link to a how-to page...

Most are linked to from the handbook. Like this here is linked to from https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/ties and https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/voltas
Also there is https://musescore.org/en/howto, but you probably need to switch the filter to 'Any' currently, see #290677: How Tos and Tutorials, "Any" vs. "None" but also #290679: 'vanity' URLs for howtos and #290678: Make howtos translatable

Wow how-tos are really useful :D
Now I know that whenever I want to search for how to notate some common-seen but little weird cases, like applying beams over rests, I go for the correspondent handbook page, Beams for this case, and I see a helpful how-to linked there :DD
