Swing 16ths
Sometimes I need only certain parts to swing and other to play straight 16ths simultaneously. Is this possible? If so, how?

Yes. Add ordinary staff text to the part(s) you want to swing, then right-click, Staff Properties, and set the swing properties however you like.

Do you mean "ordinary staff text to part(s) you DON'T want to swing? (I'm trying to swing some but not all parts of a medley. Thanks.

That too. In any staff text's properties you can set swing on or off

Yes. Use staff text, right click it and select the swing tab where you can set the swing for only that staff.

I mis-read the post. I want to make part of my score in swing (not individual instruments) so the sections will be swing - not swung - swing. (It's a medley)

Then use system text instead of staff text, to switch swing on and off for the entire system

I'm not making myself clear - I need to make the first section of a medley in swing then the middle section of a medley off-swing then back on for the third song.

Use System texts on the start of each section and their properties to switch swing on or off as needed
