Mixed keys # and b when consert pitch is off
i have been using Musescore 3.0.2 earlier and really love it, but now I am having problems with the keys of different staffs. I arrange music with trumpet in Bb, saxophones in Eb etc and earlier I have always been able to choose a key, e.g. B, and get 5 ##### at each staff, no matter if it is a C, Bb or Eb instrument. Then I could switch to Concert pitch to see the notes i will print for each instrument.
However, now when i choose B as key for my arrangement and add a staff of saxophone it gets seven (7!) b instead of the 5 #. This is extremely annoying and makes it very difficult to read and write the music.
Or am I missing some setup/preferences here..?

If I understand correctly, you have it backwards. Concert pitch isn't what you print, it's what you hear (probably that's where the name comes from; never really thought about that). So when you select B as your key, that's B concert, and if you're accustomed to seeing 5 sharps on every staff, that's because Concert Pitch is on, not off. Then you can switch it off if you want to see how the parts will look, or if you want to print a transposed score.
When you first create a score, concert pitch is normally off, so indeed, you will see different keys on each staff. If you want to see the score with concert pitch on, just turn it on using the toolbar.
I suppose maybe in the past you were using a template that set concert pitch on by default, and now you aren't. Some templates do that, others don't.

Ok, thanks for your prompt reply and maybe I got the on/off backwards ;-).
But I still have the problem that the 5 #'s are converted into 7 b's for the alto saxophone when I switch back to concert pitch. i want to have the same key in all staffs.
I also think it is strange that with concert pitch off the programme chooses 7 #'s (C#) for the Bb trumpet instead of 5 b's and Db.

True, we don't keep track and allow control of the concert & transposed keys independently like we do for the notes themselves. That's a common request, hopefully someday it will happen. Meanwhile, when switching back to concert pitch, you can simply re-add B as the key.
