Cells from palettes don't keep their names when copied
If one makes a new palette and drags a cell from the default entries into it, the names that show as hints while hovering the mouse-pointer are no longer retained. This could be by design, but it seems that the behavior should be to keep the name information rather than lose it. For instance, if a user drags the one-flat key into a new palette, the hint-name should still show when hovering over in the customized palette: "F Major, D minor". Any reasons for so not doing? If not, maybe this should be sent to the issue tracker.
P.S. This seems to have been the same behavior as from the 2.x series.

Makes sense to me. In case you weren't aware, you can customize the name by right-clicking the symbol and choosing Properties.

When you typed 'makes sense to me', is that to say the loss of the information makes sense, or the request to have the information kept?
Also, if custom names are given via Properties as you mention, the same behavior (loss of names) occurs in moving from custom to custom palettes. This should be a fairly easy code fix if this gets accepted.

The request to keep it, and idea of submitting it to the issue tracker.
And yes, no surprise to me that names assigned using the dialog would fail to copy as well. I just meant, that's your workaround - to re-apply the name after the copy.

Most definitely. Thanks for the verification.
