Win 7/10. MS 3.2.3

  1. Open the attached score.
  2. In measure 5 move the first hairpin upwards using the Y offset in the Inspector.
  3. Do anything to another part of the score to cause a re-layout.
    Expected result: Hairpin should not move.
    Actual result: Hairpin returns to previous position.

A similar issue was fixed: #289241: Hairpin with above placement moved onto staff jumps back on next layout.

I can't reproduce, hairpin stays put for me no matter what I try. Can you give me some more specific try in step 3? Also, I guess, a sight possibility it has something to do with the specifc offset applied in step 2, or how you applied it (typing, the up.down icon in the spin boxes, cursor up/down).

After moving the hairpin, in addition to telling me the new offset, tell me what you see under "Minimum distance" after deselecting and reselecting the hairpin. If it doesn't decrease, that's probably the issue right there, and I can believe that might happen in the right precise corer case, but I can't make it happen myself.

OK, sorry, I somehow got the wrong hairpin, yes, the one in measure 5 is as described, and it's because of the the dynamic. Workaround is to disable autoplace for it.

OS: Windows 10 (10.0), Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.5.2.311459983, revision: 465e7b6

Another example. Open the attached score:

  1. Select the hairpin in measure 2. Click on the middle handle and move the hairpin upwards by several mouse button presses.
  2. Click on any of the dynamics, or the hairpin in measures 1 or 3. Move the element up/down by one or more mouse button presses.
    Expected result: Hairpin in measure 2 should remain stationary.
    Actual result: Hairpin returns to previous position.
