6/4 time, but can't figure out how to quadruplet
I don't know how to describe, but I'm having issue entering this bar. It's 6/4 time, but the system keeps thinking it's 7 beats and added the quarter note to the next measure. Is there a way to turn off the automatic counting per measure?

The 4 notes with a 4 over them are called a qudruplet, they are a variation on a triplet. To enter these press 6 then the dot then press ctrl+4 to turn the dotted half note into a quadruplet. You will then have quarter note duration selected so you can enter the quarter notes.

Thank you! That worked. Sorry ... i just need help with one more measure. I tried entering 6 . Ctrl +4, but then it didn't work out.

Press ctrl+2 to create a duplet and half notes will be selected.

Select a whole (semibreve) rest and press Ctrl+2.
