export to pdf -- the same errors occur (making it likely the problem is with the program, not the printer)

Seems you're still in 3.4.1, better update to 3.4.2

Do you see them on the print out?
I see them on the PDF, using Acrobat Reader
Most liekly an issue with your printer, perhaps it needs a head cleaning.
