1) Start the Musescore appimage with AppImageLauncher installed on Ubuntu.
2) Choose to integrate the Musescore appimage.
3) Observe that the Appimage launcher in the dock does not have a logo.

Other applications that distribute via AppImages, for example Krita, do have logos when integrated using AppImageLauncher. I am reporting this issue here rather than to the AppImageLauncher developers because I believe that this may be an issue on Musescore's side, as Krita's logo does show up.

Right. To be clear, the AppImage is the supported way of using MuseScore on Linux, and the "install" option is the supported way of installing it. Third party repositories and utilities may happen to work or happen not to, we have little control over them so we don't normally recommend them. If it's something we can control, we'd certainly like to be able to make it work, but I know nothing of how the AppImageLauncher works or what's involved in integrating with it.

Hmm... I saw no mention of the Install feature until now. Perhaps it needs to be made clearer that the AppImage can be installed? Perhaps as a prompt when Musescore starts? Should that be made a separate Suggestion issue?

If a contributor has interest in using AppImageLauncher, though, they should definitely try to fix this issue.
