multiple voice chords - too many rests in the bar!

Musescore adds too many rests in my bar if I build a multiple voice chord and then try to paste that chord into one of the voices.

See attached file: I'll build up the chord voice by voice, and then select the chord with shift+click. I'll then ctrl+c to copy it, and select one of the rests beside it (it doesn't matter which voice) and I'll then paste it. I end up with too many rests in the bar. If I then select the following rest and try to paste the chord on it, Musescore will crash.
