My Orchestra Soundfont in .sf2 Format.

• Sep 25, 2016 - 15:17

Hi everyone. You might wanna look back in my Original page on this soundfont in .sfz format: https://musescore.org/en/node/125651

But however, I converted the .sfz files from my Orchestra soundfont to .sf2. Again, you can adjust the instruments, sounds, etc. And don't forget to use these .sf2 files and you can also turn them into one big soundfont.

Check out the converted .sf2 files here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B2I_8bgGH-Q3QUxsOHF5cnlfcXc

PS: You can also use the soundfont for your compositions and convert your composition with the soundfont to any kind of audio format.

Let me know what you created and I'll see it.

Thanks.

working on Mozart - Eine Kleine Nachtmusik K 525,

produced a FAKE Ensembles, 5 instruments, (could mute all violin parts)
let my students FILL violin parts.

Your soundfont, quite good sound, specially when 5 instruments play together
small size, no need powerful pc/mac could enjoy orchestral making.

Here is a sample made last night, 5 VST instruments, mixed up by FL studio
with wave output of musescore, finale & sibelius.

hi again,

The 3 demos made with your sound fonts:-
1st Violin Solo.sf2
Viola Solo.sf2
Cello Solo.sf2
Contrabass Solo.sf2

Mozart - Eine Kleine Nachtmusik K525, 2nd mvt, 5 strings.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Musescore 2, direct export to wav->mp3

Musescore 2 with sc4 & zita1 adjustment, direct export to wav->mp3
http://violin.sytes.net/demo/K525-mvt-2-musescore-with-sc4-zita1.mp3

Musescore 2, export to 5 wave tracks and processed in FL-studio

-------------------------------------------------------------

Hiss sound audited, don't how to fix, many of SF2 got such issue in MS & Finale,
any chance have to make 2-3 different BOW SPEED files? seems the "1st Violin Solo.sf2"
too fast and dry.

Overall, those solo strings are usable, after tune-up in DAW, sounds much better.
making solo strings sound fonts never easy, huge time cost involved. Great work.

Hey dds. Can you make another Violin composition of Johann Sebastian Bach's Violin Concerto in A Minor by using my soundfont?

The instruments you can use are:

2nd Violin Solo
1st Violins Arco
2nd Violins Arco
Violas Arco
Celli Arco
Basses Arco
Chamber Organ

Good luck.

just another version, replace violin solo from Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra
------------------------------------------------------------
http://violin.sytes.net/demo/Dvorak_-_Humoresque_Arranged_Reaper-3.mp3
------------------------------------------------------------

pls. check your instruments, guess they all working well
under MS2, but many of them not operating in VSTi SF player(DKMusic,
Soundfont Enhancer and TX16Wx Software Sampler), so that I couldn't start
mixing with other DAW.

Bach BWV 1041, 1st mvt, 2 mp3s. produced, the original midi file was d/l from internet
which consist 5 parts.

Reaper with SF2 Player Soundfont Enhancer

Violins 1,2, Violas, Celli from

Violin Solo from
Strings Florestan Quartet.sf2

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Same as the above one, just replaced Violin Solo (Kontakt Trio Broz Solo Violin)

can't compare real performance, especially David Oistrakh with Sir Colin Davis.

the file info already tell it's from FL stduio V11, working with DAW, comes infinity, never ending adjustment.
Many of free SF, playback Tutti, quite impressive, but to all solo instrument,
another story, most of the time, some score need adjustment first,
the UGLY thing is repeat notes, need put a pair of hairpin, SFZ ->pp, etc...

i spent almost a month to adjust & re-adjust the piano part of Beethoven Violin Spring Sonata,
to my student they could practice graded exam at home, live piano accompany
cost too high to them.

here is the 2mins. of the piano part that combined 3 different vst pianos
http://violin.sytes.net/demo/Beethoven_-_Sonata_No_5_Spring_mvt-1_-_2m…

just guess that MS2 have very rich sound working on 'multi-layer type'.

some works at:

Use your sound font produced the first of two mp3 files as bellow:-
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Direct Export from Musescore 2
http://violin.sytes.net/demo/Dvorak_-_Humoresque_Arranged_MS2.mp3

8 Separate Wav Tracks exported from MS2 to FL-Studio, just a little adjustment
http://violin.sytes.net/demo/Dvorak_-_Humoresque_Arranged_FL-Studio.mp3

A single 8-track midi file export from MS2 to Reaper, Use Kontakt Sound Font, mixed together, so sorry that I don't know how to make notes PIZZICATO (but I could do on actual violin.)
http://violin.sytes.net/demo/Dvorak_-_Humoresque_Arranged_Reaper.mp3
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just tested your soundfont in Aria Player which accept SF2 format files,
seems it don't play correctly, only noise heard.

All arpeggios of Violin Solo & Cello Solo very impressive, and also like
the Timpani enter and exit timing, climax enhanced.

Will try to make a correct length, with pizzicato.

Thinking about to produce Bach BWV 244, deeply love this, some good people put
the decent, readable midi file on the internet many years ago.

This sounds great. But not as great as I posted. Looks like I'll have to adjust my arrangement myself. But however, Good job.

Can you make another composition piece for Organ Solo by using the 3 organs?

Pipe Organ
Chapel Organ
Chamber Organ

In reply to by Arianna2001

very sorry about that's the very first time to produce sting ensembles in daw software,
past years only work on piano accompany scores for my violin lesson to students.
hope next mixing of your Dvorak won't disappointed.

pls. post the Pipe Organ files as possible.

just bought NAS recently, now have small web server could share mp3 files.

Dvorak Humoresques, it's lovely piece, when I heard that piece played by Mischa Elman (Piano Joseph Seiger) on CD almost 20years ago, one of the piece trigger me to learn violin, that other one is Handel Passacaglia played by Heifetz & Primrose.

pls. feel free listen the updated version, done by Reaper with Kontakt Library.

I tried to click on the link. But when I clicked on it, it said "Not Found,
The requested URL /Dvorak_-_Humoresque_Arranged_Reaper-2.mp3 was not found on this server. Apache Server at violin.sytes.net Port 80."

Now how am I going to listen to this?

How about making a composition of Summer (I. Allegro) from Vivaldi's Four Seasons by using:

1st VIolin Solo
1st Violins Arco
2nd Violins Arco
Violas Arco
Celli Arco / Cello Solo
Basses Arco
Harpsichord, or / Pipe Organ / Chapel Organ / Chamber Organ

In reply to by dds

I havn't even showed you what I was talking about. I said that you can "Make" a composition piece of Vivaldi's Summer (I. Allegro) by using

1st Violin Solo
1st Violins Arco
2nd Violins Arco
Violas Arco
Celli Arco
Basses Arco
Harpsichord, or Pipe Organ / Chapel Organ / Chamber Organ

Maybe I can do this myself and give you a link to this composition and see how you like it.

But BTW, thanks for this reply.

In reply to by dds

Don't worry dds. I have better versions of the same soundfont that you used.

One that was exported in .wav format from MuseScore 2: https://app.box.com/s/b5hoa282jz043bd0nx2wyczv8le91682

Another but the same version, But this time, I adjusted the instrument parts and added Church Hall Reverb by using Audacity: https://app.box.com/s/isgn2ke0hi69w5xaqob11a4ijy4cvz7z

Enjoy.

PS: I will be making an audio file of I. allegro from Summer "From Vivaldi's Four Seasons" pretty soon.

In reply to by dds

Question. What instruments did you used for my Orchestra soundfont version of my arrangement piece? Let's hope you used 1st Violins Arco / Pizzicato, 2nd Violins Arco / Pizzicato, Violas Arco / Pizzicato, Celli Arco / Pizzicato, Basses Arco / Pizzicato, 1st Violin Solo, Cello Solo, and Timpani.

Can you open my composition in Sibelius as an .mxl file and use the Vienna Symphonic Library Instruments?

Here's the link to my composition arrangement: https://musescore.com/user/5012316/scores/2709216

Click on the Download icon, and then click on MusicXML, then open the .xml file in Sibelius.

Here's another version of the Dvorak Humoresque: https://app.box.com/s/5wx5x96evdp5zz4vkb4lw0nmpglfxzj2

I used the same string section from my orchestra soundfont, Replaced the Violin Solo with the Original AAViolin Soundfont, Replaced the Cello Solo Arco and Pizzicato from Karoryfer x bigcat cello, Replaced the Timpani from Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra, and adjusted the Reverb in Audacity. Now you can use this .mp3 for Violin.sytes.net

Enjoy.

I've installed several soundfonts, used the synthesizer and mixer options to route them, but there's no sound. The only one that works is the piano one. Am I doing something wrong? Please help.
