Cannot add/change key signature -- don't know why
Hi there,
I have had the issue several times where I just wasn't able to change the key signature. This time I kept the file with the bug. I am attaching the .mscz file.
Try dragging the key signature for F (that is, one flat) into the sixth measure. It does not work.
Every other key signature seems to work. It also seems to work when I first add a working one an then the correct one.
In any case, somewhere there must still be a bug.

It's working for me. When you drag the key signature, you need to wait for the measure to turn red/grey before releasing the mouse. Can yoyu try ?
I've more proof : www.youtu.be/Rk0h_jg-PGQ ;-)
What's the operating system and version?
This is Windows 7 SP1 (32-bit) and MuseScore 1.1
When I download the file, the problem is present but when I create a new, and re-writing the same, I do not meet the problem. Are you sure not to have made a mistake when typing?
(Vista x32 sp2 and Seven x64 )
That is my actual question. What mistake could that have been?
I wonder if you did any measure insertions from the beginning of the piece? This bug got me recently.
See http://musescore.org/en/node/12966
If you load this score into the nightly (R4897), you can see there is already a key change to F at bar 6, so I suspect the score has been corrupted.
Workaround : Drag an empty keysig on each staff and then drag the key signature you want.
Indeed I inserted a few measures at the beginning before this happened.
I think the measure with the missing flat was the first measure before that.
And as your other bug notes, I also noticed strange accidentals in the rest of the piece where there should be none.
I never envied programmers for having to deal with all kinds of boundary conditions like this one -.-
I'll close this as a duplicate.
