I can edit all my own entries in forum and issue tracker, but not the very first one of each thread.
Pretty annoying, if it has embarrassing typos (let's see whether I can get this one right...).
The answer in the previous link is dated from last year. So I checked again in the Drupal module jar and I found a good one http://drupal.org/project/edit_limit. I deployed it with a half a day time limit on editing nodes and comments. I'll put the issue on fixed for the meantime.
