From what I can glean, the placement of the 8va, 8vb, 15ma and 15vb seems wrong. They always get placed with the ending immediately preceeding the next note which is not to be played an octave out. For example...

Default placement

However, the ending is so close to the following note that it appears to almost include it. To me, it should end immediately after the final note of the bar, like so...

Correct placement

At the very least, it should not be crossing the bar line.

Comments

The 8va function could improve in another way. I would love it if the line were stretchable (to make it last more than one measure), and if the straight line were removable (when it's for one or two notes only). I needed these features for my last two songs.

As to increasing the length of the line, double click it. Shift and right arrow move it by bar, right arrow only allows fine tuning.

FYI,. the "assigned" field is for the programmer who intends to fix something - unless you are volunteering, you shouldn't change that.

Anyhow, the first of the things you are asking for is already possible. See the Handbook article on Line . To extend *va or any line, just double click it and hit shift-right-arrow, as documented in that article. The second thing you asked for is not as far as I know, but you might considering opening a separate feature request for that. It's better not to combine unrelated reports into a single issue. I've set the title of this issue back to where it was.

At the bottom of the "lines" pallet there is a straight line, no hook. It can be used with a text box. A kludge, I know, but .....

Status (old) active fixed

Seems to have been fixed some time ago. The numbers don't currently display, but I assume that's a SMuFL integration issue that will be fixed in due course.
