All files I have tried is saved by musescore (so it is probably because musescore save the file wrong.~~ but even if the format doesn't make sense, there shouldn't be a sig fault.)

O, yes, I don't remember having this problem before I report #14581: Unable to open ove files (on linux).
BTW, these are the empty files that cause the problem.
I can open both files with last MuseScore nightly 0775f63c60
yuyichao, can you check on Linux?
Just incase it's operating system-specific.
I have just checked with some msc{x,z} files here and its fine now. (at least I can open with no segfault..)
