trunk rev 5562
- mac lion 10.7.3, xcode 4.3, compile rev 5562 and debug, mainly using soundfont : GeneralUser GS 1.43 MuseScore.sf2, acoustic_piano_imis_1.sf2
- open a music score, play it, the audio is distorting
- If in both Mixer & Synthesizer dialogs, set chorus & reverb effects to 0, then the audio back to normal.

I think maybe you have the reverb return too high.

Leastways that is how I got round this problem several releases ago.

The problem being that the reverb built up a feedback loop which ended up overloading the sound system.

This is set in the synth window - if you are seeing the volume bar in that dialogue red-lining then reduce the reverb level in that dialogue.

Also adjusting the damp and room size controls affect this.

MuseScore R5534 on Windows XP Pro SP3

Maybe my problem is caused by AEOLUS, because when I set AEOLUS = FALSE in main CMakeLists.txt and compile again, this problem disappear.
